George Mason University 2026

In August 2026 I joined the men’s soccer program at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C. The Patriots play NCAA Division I soccer in the Atlantic 10 Conference and host their home games at the 4,000-seat George Mason Stadium.

Soccer has a long tradition at Mason. The program was founded in 1968 and has reached the NCAA Tournament eleven times, going as far as the national quarterfinals in 1982. Its most successful era came under Gordon Bradley, who led the Patriots from 1985 to 2000 with a record of 183-113-35 — the same Gordon Bradley who had been the first head coach of the New York Cosmos and was in charge when Pelé arrived in New York. His name is still on the wall of our locker room.

More recently the Patriots won the Atlantic 10 regular season title in 2024 and were ranked among the top 25 teams in the country in 2025. For me it is the perfect place to keep developing: Division I soccer at a high level, an international squad, and a degree in Business and Finance at the same time.
