Hi, I’m Malte Koerber, a 17-year-old soccer player from Germany.

I moved to Florida when I was twelve. That big change helped me grow both on and off the soccer field. I learned to adapt to a new school, make friends, and push myself harder in training. At sixteen, I went to Spain and played U19 for CD Vázquez Cultural in the División de Honor. Living there taught me new skills, gave me confidence, and showed me how much soccer can unite people. Now I live in Berlin and play U19 for BFC Preussen in the Regionalliga Nordost. I train every day, work with my teammates, and keep improving my game. Soccer means everything to me—it tests me physically and mentally and lets me be creative with the ball. I also love learning about other places and speak German, English, and Spanish. My dream is to become a professional soccer player.

In January 2023, I joined the soccer program at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

The program’s global environment prepares me for the experience of competing at my next level.

The IMG boarding school allows me to get the best development in education and athletics simultaneously.  

I'm from Germany and played competitive soccer and handball for six years before I moved to Florida.

My family is very adventurous and loves to explore new places. I have a eleven-year-old sister, and she also plays competitive soccer. She is very talented and passionate about it.

My hobby is wakeboarding, which is a fun and exciting water activity. I enjoy riding the waves and doing tricks on the board.

We are a close-knit family supporting each other in everything we do.
